Semi-solid Smorgasbord, and new colourway: Tortuga

Just what the title says. One new cashmere colourway:

Saturday was blustery cold in Manhattan as Broadway turned into a veritable wind tunnel. Without Veronika and the matching scarf, I'd have frozen completely on the way to Cafe Luxembourg where I met with my oldest and dearest friend Violet. From there it was a quick jaunt to join another friend Anne to see the final performance of Aida, which is possibly one of my top three favourite productions ever. Who can possibly shake a stick at the amazing orchestra, elegantly decadent stage design, and live horses (elephants, too, which there were the last time I saw it) traipsing casually by the edge of the stage? Marvelous. *sigh* Well, now back to reality.

It's a manic Monday here, but I'll leave you with one of my favourite things about the Met: the retractable chandeliers. They look like shimmery mini-models of The Big Bang.
